Sirach 27:22
Print
Those who wink their eye plan evil, and whoever recognizes them will keep their distance.
Follow after him no more, for he is gone afar off, he is fled, as a roe escaped out of the snare: because his soul is wounded.
When someone starts winking at you, he has something bad in mind, and nothing can stop him from going through with it.
Whoever has shifty eyes plots mischief and those who know him will keep their distance;
Anyone who winks slyly is plotting mischief, and no one can dissuade him from it.
Whoever winks the eye plots mischief, and those who know him will keep their distance.
Whoever winks the eye plots mischief, and those who know him will keep their distance.
Whoever winks the eye plots mischief, and those who know him will keep their distance.
Whoever winks the eye plots harm, and those who know such a one will keep their distance.
Whoever winks his eye plans evil deeds, and no one can keep him from them.
Whoever winks his eye plans evil deeds, and no one can keep him from them.
He that twinkleth with the eye, maketh [or forgeth] wicked things; and no man shall cast him away.
